Grammar, Writing, & Editing Tools
Worldbuilding template (Free) – Richie Billing offers an amazing free worldbuilding template and guide on his website. This template allows you to be more organized by breaking up your process into two key considerations: the physical world and the cultural world. It serves as a mini questionnaire, bringing order to a chaotic process. It’s especially useful for fantasy and sci-fi writers, though any novelist can benefit from this helpful guide.Â
ProWritingAid – ProWritingAid is my favorite editing software, and is a grammar checker, style editor, and writing mentor in one package. If you’re a new ProWritingAid user and purchase through my affiliate link, send your receipt to stacy at stacyjuba.com and I’ll send you three bonuses: Â

Bonus #3:Â My ProWritingAid Cheat Sheet to help you get up and running quickly.

Plottr – Plottr is a visual outlining tool built for published and aspiring writers of all kinds including novelists, screenwriters, playwrights, academics, journalists, writing students, and beyond. Whether youâre an outlining pro or your journey is just beginning, Plottr can help you visually (and creatively) build a plan to write your book.
Plot Factory – Plot Factory is an online story planner that provides you with the tools you need to plan, organize and create stories, fictional worlds, characters, and more. It runs as a freemium app. You get all the necessities for writing for free, and the nice-to-have features with a paid subscription.
Scrivener – Scrivener is the go-to app for writers of all kinds. It unites everything you need to write, research, and arrange long documents in a single, powerful app. At its heart is a simple ring-binder metaphor that allows you to gather your material and flick between different parts of your manuscript, notes, and references with ease. Break your text into manageable sections of any size and leave Scrivener to stitch them together. Integrated outlining tools let you plan everything first or restructure later. And as your project grows, you’ll find that Scrivener grows with it.
Scapple – Ever scribbled ideas on a piece of paper and drawn lines between related thoughts? Then you already know what Scapple does. It’s a virtual sheet of paper that lets you make notes anywhere and connect them using lines or arrows. Creating notes is as easy as double-clicking anywhere on the page; making connections between ideas is as simple as dragging and dropping one note onto another. And unlike real paper, in Scapple you can move notes around and never run out of space.
Graphics Resources
Canva – I love using Canva’s  drag-and-drop feature and layouts to design and share logos, presentations, social media graphics, worksheets, flyers, and more. There is plenty you can do on Canva for free, but Canva Pro has many additional features. Get a 30-day free trial here.Â
MockupShots – âWith MockupShots, you can get lifetime access to a complete library of book mockup imagesâ, putting your book into over 600 different settings in only 10 seconds. Create product page images with transparent backgrounds, themed images for holidays and seasons, and action images of your book moving across the screen. The price is regular $198, but with this link you can get it for $80.
I hope that the creators will eventually add even more mockup images to the library. That would make me super-happy and then I could rave about it. But, I don’t regret the purchase as it makes designing my social media graphics much quicker. Below are a couple of images I created with MockupShots.
Productivity & Planners
Planner Pads – This is what I personally use as a daily planner. Check out the undated versions with start dates that sync with your unique timeline. Choose from spiral bound or loose leaf versions which are available in different sizes and ink colors.
Dailygreatness Planners and Journals – Get 10 percent off! The intuitive flow of the Dailygreatness concept gives you a foundation and a structure to your days that supports you in achieving your goals. Itâs a simple process that’s fun, creative and engaging. Products include the original planner and journal, a business planner, parents’ journal, training journal, wellness journal, yoga journal, self-leadership planner, success planner, desk pad, accessories, and more. I have the yoga journal!
I’ve also used and liked The Dailygreatness Original Journal and Planner (Orange), which combines a yearly diary, goal and appointment planner, and daily tools for self-mastery. Designed to be used throughout the calendar year, the daily pages will guide you to form great habits through the 8 daily steps of meditation and visualization, intentions, dream journaling, gratitude, evening self-awareness questions, exercise, inspired actions and inspiration. The weekly and quarterly check-ins keep you committed, accountable and motivated. With a yearly review, that celebrates your achievements and highlights new opportunities for the coming year, each stage lays the foundations for achieving self-mastery, reaching your goals and finding and following your purpose. All authors/publishers involved plan to discount their book to either free or 99 cents on retailers, depending on the requirements of the group, and Book Cave helps with the promotion. Publisher Rocket – This handy tool, which I own, will help you get your book in front of more Amazon shoppers so you can spend less time marketing and more time writing. Rocket gives you real data that shows you exactly what Amazon customers type into Amazon, as well as how many people search for those keywords every month. With the category feature, you can quickly find relevant niche categories for your books, as well as find out how many books youâd need to sell that day in order to be the new #1 bestseller. Rocket will help you find hundreds of profitable keywords for your Amazon ad book advertising campaign in under 10 seconds. Namecheap – This is where I purchase my domains. It’s easy and inexpensive.

The GrowBig plan (which is what I’m now on for my three sites) is a great value for the money offer, including the option for multiple websites and the Ultrafast PHP that greatly improves website speed. By using my link, you’ll get a significant discount.
